Istanbul: Famous Turkish actor Serhat Mustafa Kilic, who played Mikhail Kosis in the Turkish drama series “Kuruluş Osman”, was found dead at his home.
According to Turkish media, the 51-year-old actor was found dead in his apartment in the Kağıthane district of Istanbul on September 5 by his friend Ozlem E.
Ozlem E. had reportedly been trying to contact the actor since September 3, but when unsuccessful, she went to his house to see him. There he found him unconscious in a chair in a room. Emergency services were alerted when the actor stopped breathing. A medical team arrived at the scene and confirmed his death.
According to the police, a preliminary examination revealed no signs of physical assault or open wounds on the actor’s body. The body was taken to a hospital for an autopsy to determine the cause of death, while the investigation into the incident continues.
A friend of the actor informed the police that Serhat Mustafa Kilic was suffering from lymphatic cancer.
Born in 1975, Serhat Mustafa Kilic began his artistic career in theater in 1998. His film “Kach Yokosu” was also awarded at the Cannes Film Festival in 2014.
Serhat Mustafa Kilic demonstrated his acting talent in several popular television series and films, such as “Suze”, “Koroluş Osman” and “Mehmet Fatih”, and had a large fan following around the world.
