In just 12 incidents, citizens have been deprived of lives and property worth millions of rupees. The police are facing difficulties in registering cases. Complaints about registering cases have increased due to cases being kept pending for several days. There are also kidnapping, fraud, attempted murder, and other crimes, while artificial efficiency is being balanced by keeping more cases pending in police stations.
After many incidents of robbery, theft, and murder only 11 have been registered in the police records. Several cases of police officers have been put on hold in different incidents and as usual, the accused in none of these incidents has been arrested so far.
On the other hand, not a single accused out of more than 7,000 absconding declared persons has been arrested and the ongoing campaign against drugs, “Drugs No More”, has also practically died. During this time, no major drug don has been arrested from the city. The gangs who supply them have been protected by limiting the matter to the traditional seizure of one to two kilos.
It has become so serious that the inter-provincial gangs of drugs, ice, heroin, cocaine, garda, hashish and alcohol in the most sensitive area, Red Zone and the adjacent population of Noorpur Shahan Bari Imam continue their business without any fear.
Furthermore, Ijaz alias Jazi has come out of jail after a week. Out of the 35 famous drug dealers of the drug mafia gangs, two drug dealers, Mubashir Hussain alias Bullo and Murtaza Yousuf, were arrested from the Red Zone Parliament Lodges and more than two kilograms of drugs were recovered.
Eradicating drugs from the entire city has become a dream, which can be a good indication of the performance of the Zafar Moj army of 29 police stations equipped with Safe City cameras, drones, and modern technology and manpower.
