Following the recent attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, rumors have been doing the rounds on social media that his wife Kareena Kapoor was drunk at the time of the attack.
The rumors that spread about Kareena Kapoor being drunk were reinforced when a picture of her was released a few hours before the attack on Saif.
It may be recalled that a few hours before the attack on Saif, Kareena had posted a picture of a party with her friends Sonam and Rhea Kapoor and sister Karisma Kapoor in which a glass full of alcohol was seen.
After this picture was released, Kareena Kapoor was heavily criticized by social media users and she is being accused of being very drunk instead of helping Saif during the attack.
The truth of these rumors has not come out, but despite this, they have spread rapidly. Reacting to these rumors, Bollywood actress Twinkle Khanna has written a column in which she has criticized the tendency to blame wives in every matter.
Twinkle Khanna has taken a clear stand that the rumors being spread about Kareena Kapoor after the attack on Saif Ali Khan are completely baseless.
Twinkle Khanna wrote in her column published in the Times of India, “When Saif was in the hospital, ridiculous rumors were spread that his wife was not at home or was too drunk to help him during the attack. The absence of any evidence did nothing to stop these silly theories. People simply enjoyed shifting the blame to the wife, it is a very common behavior.”
It should be noted that Saif Ali Khan was attacked on January 16 when a man allegedly entered his Mumbai residence. The actor suffered multiple injuries, one near his spine and the other on his neck. He was taken to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent surgery, and was discharged from the hospital five days later.
