A disastrous conspiracy after the protest on the Kalabagh dam now targeted the Cholistan canal project, which is evil; if it is not nip in the bud, it will become cancer. Hashmat Habib, President Tehreek e Tahafuzz e Adlia said with heavy hearted that the incompetence of the Sindh Govt and unbearable policy of the Federal Govt to linger on the issue being protested by the nationalist groups under their political motive which is also attracting the legal fraternity, is a shame upon the National prosperity and integrity.
Hashmat Habib said that the Indus River System Authority (IRSA), with the heavy majority, approved the Cholistan Canal system to use the flood and rain water through a canal being developed through Head  Suleimanki (PUNJAB) without disturbing the share and water of Indus River rather to save the wastage of water.
Hashmat Habib said the authority must implement the Cholistan Canal Project swiftly and also build the Kalabagh Dam as per the approved plan and funds. He said to gain the consent and willingness of the Nation, a vast public discussion through print, electric, and social media should be conducted so that the politically motivated campaign injurious to the National interest be curbed and without further delay. The Cholistan Canal project, as well as Kala Bagh Dam, should be completed. Hashmat Habib suggested that without fear and favor, action must be taken against anti-state elements on the one hand, and on the other, the lawyer’s fraternity should not act as a tool of these traitors.
