Museums around the world have the strictest arrangements for the protection of antiquities. But thieves also succeed in stealing valuable antiques by breaking these arrangements. The same thing happened in the Netherlands, where thieves stole 4 ancient artifacts, including a 2,500-year-old golden helmet, from a museum. The thieves carried out this surprising theft in the Drents city of Assen, Netherlands, after midnight.

CCTV footage in this regard has been released by the police. This footage proves that the suspects first opened the outer door and then released smoke and sparks into the air. The thieves then stole three gold bracelets (dating back to 50 BC) and a helmet believed to have belonged to Christ, dating back to 5 centuries BC.

The helmet was not from the museum but was on loan from the National History Museum in Romania for display in the Netherlands to a Romanian society. The representative of the museum said in a statement on its website that the helmet was discovered in a Romanian village about a century ago.

The museum has been closed since the theft and police say they are working with Interpol to find the thieves globally.
