A sad incident occurred in District Attock as An 80-year-old British citizen and his two young sons were allegedly shot dead by an ice-addicted youth after they were asked not to throw stones on the common path. The third son, a close relative, and his three-and-a-half-year-old innocent child miraculously escaped the gunfire. The killer managed to escape. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar issued a notice.
According to the details, Zohaib Khan, a young man from Formli village of Rango police station, 30 kilometers from Attock, used to throw round stones from the Indus River on the common path, which caused the 80-year-old British citizen Haji Muhammad Ilyas Khan and his sons, who were coming on this path on a motorcycle, to fall several times due to the motorcycle slipping. He often used to forbid him from throwing stones that the killer kept outside his camp.
However, as a mischief, he often threw stones on the path and Haji Muhammad Ilyas and his sons picked up the stones and put them back again. The killer, who was allegedly addicted to ice, first shot young Junaid Khan with a 30-bore pistol when he refused to throw the stone. Junaid Khan ran away to save his life, but on the way, his foot got stuck in the roots of a tree that was outside the ground. The killer came and fired seven shots, killing Junaid Khan. Meanwhile, his brother Muhammad Bakhtiar Khan also reached the spot, and the killer also shot him six times.
Meanwhile, 80-year-old British citizen Haji Muhammad Ilyas Khan came on a motorcycle and was shot once on the motorcycle after that his close relative Munsif Khan was present at the scene, to whom Haji Muhammad Ilyas Khan uttered his last words, saying, “Save my third son.” He ran away and chased away his third son who was coming from the front. The killer became enraged and opened fire on Mansab Khan and his three-and-a-half-year-old son, but both of them were killed by the gunfire.
Miraculously, the killer fled towards KPK by crossing the Indus River brandishing a weapon. On receiving information about the incident, the Rango police reached the spot and shifted the three bodies to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Hazro for postmortem and registered a murder case. Meanwhile, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has taken strict notice of the triple murder incident due to firing over a land dispute within the limits of Rango police station and has sought a report.
IG Punjab also ordered DPO Attock Dr. Sardar Ghiyas Gul Khan to immediately arrest the accused involved in the firing and said that all resources should be used to arrest the accused. The DPO has formed police teams in the tragic incident of triple murder, which have started raids to arrest the killers. A murder case has been registered and the FIR has been sealed. When the media teams reached the spot, no one was there but the killer’s pet dog. This incident of triple murder has caused great fear and panic in the area. The bodies of the deceased were taken out at the same time, causing chaos in the area.
