A case has been registered against Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan’s son-in-law Nikhil Nanda and others for cheating and abetment to suicide. Nikhil Nanda is the grandson of Bollywood actor Raj Kapoor and married Amitabh’s daughter Shweta Bachchan in 1997. The couple has two children, a son and a daughter.
It is reported that Nikhil Nanda, the chairperson and managing director of Escorts Kubota, an agricultural machinery company, has been accused of pressurizing businessman Jitendra Singh to end his life, i.e. abetting suicide.
According to the complaint filed by Jitendra Singh’s brother, the business tycoon and other employees of his company pressured Jitendra Singh to meet sales targets, leading to his suicide, Jitendra Singh, who ran a tractor dealership in Datagunj, was allegedly threatened that his dealership license would be cancelled and the property would be put up for auction.
According to the report, Jitendra Singh was unable to cope with the pressure and shared his concerns with his family. Jitendra Singh’s brother said that on November 21, authorities visited Jitendra’s dealership again and a day later, he committed suicide, but the police did not take any action despite filing a complaint.
According to reports, a formal case has been registered against Nikhil Nanda and others, including employees of Escorts Kabuta, on the basis of a court order, with the accused facing charges of cheating, intimidation and abetment to suicide.
However, Nanda and the Bachchan family have not issued an official statement regarding these allegations.
