It is said that Dharmendra received a fee of Rs 1,50,000 for his role, but there was another actor who took a FRIDGE as compensation instead of money.
The actor, whose name is Sachin Pagalankar, has worked as a child actor in more than 65 films and has also directed more than 50 films. Sachin played the role of Ahmed in Sholay, and his acting was very much liked.
According to Sachin Pagalankar, in the 1970s, a refrigerator was considered a valuable thing, so he took a refrigerator as compensation instead of money and he has kept this refrigerator even today.
