According to Khalid Ijaz Mufti, the new moon will appear on March 29, 2025, at 3:58 PM Pakistan time. At sunset on the evening of 29 Ramadan, that is, Sunday, March 30, 2025, the moon’s age, which should be at least more than 18 hours for sighting the crescent, will have exceeded 26 hours in all areas of Pakistan. On the other hand, the difference between sunset and moonset should be at least 40 minutes, which will be the case in different cities of Pakistan.
It should be noted that the government has issued a notification regarding public holidays and optional holidays in the year 2025, according to which there will be 40 holidays in the coming year.
The notification issued by the government stated that there will be 3 Eid-ul-Fitr holidays on March 30, 31 and April 1, 2025, while there will be 3 Eid-ul-Adha holidays from June 7 to 9, 2025.
