A major prediction of SUPARCO regarding the moon of Ramadan has come out.
A spokesperson for the Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) while predicting the moon of Ramadan 1146 AH said that the new moon will be on February 28, 2025 at 5:45 PM Pakistan Standard Time and its age will be12 hours at sunset on February 28.
According to SUPARCO, the moon will be 12 hours old and 5 degrees high at sunset on February 28. Due to its distance and low altitude, it will be difficult to see, the angle between the moon and the sun on February 28 will be 7 degrees, due to which the moon will not be visible to the human eye.
In view of this prediction, Ramadan is likely to start in Pakistan from March 2, 2025.
SUPARCO also says that the crescent may be sighted in Saudi Arabia on February 28, Ramadan will begin in Saudi Arabia on March 1, the Shawwal moon is expected on March 30, Eid al-Fitr may be on March 31.
The SUPARCO spokesperson also clarified that the final decision on the sighting of the moon for Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr rests with the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
