The Federal Ministry of Interior has issued a letter stating that all final steps will be taken to allow Afghan refugees to return after March 31.
First phase: Afghan refugees will be requested to voluntarily surrender themselves to the police and relevant agencies so that their return can be made transparent and assured.
Second phase: The owners of these houses where Afghan refugees are staying will be warned to evict them from their homes. If the owners ignore this order, they will be punished with a heavy fine and imprisonment for six months to one year.
Third phase: The police and relevant agencies will be instructed to start house search operations in the areas and use fingerprinting devices for the records of the refugees. Any Afghan refugee who is arrested will be fingerprinted immediately and fingerprinted again at the border within 24 hours. The refugees who undergo the fingerprinting process will be considered criminals forever in Pakistan. ..
Fourth and final stage: After verification, Afghan refugees who have obtained identity cards, passports, or any other documents through fraud and forgery will be canceled and punished, and legal action will also be taken against such Afghans and those who support them.
The Government of Pakistan has requested all patriotic Pakistanis to report the presence of Afghans in their respective areas to the nearest police station, Emergency Police-15, or Rangers Helpline, and has issued a warning that all Afghans residing in Pakistan, whether legally, illegally, or on forged documents, should surrender themselves to the law so that their return can be made possible in an honorable manner, otherwise they will be arrested and legal action will be taken against them and severe punishment will be given.
