What major decisions did Chairman CDA, Mr Randhawa, take during the meeting of CDA Board?

An important meeting of the CDA Board was held at the CDA Headquarters under the chairmanship of Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa. The meeting was attended by members of the CDA Board and senior officers concerned.

According to the details, in the CDA Board meeting, it was decided to carry out the development work of Margalla Enclave Phase II in accordance with the model of Joint Venture and Public Private Partnership and in accordance with the law under Clause F-42 of the PEPARA Rules. The meeting approved the revised layout plan of the development work in Sector C-13, which is in accordance with the CDA’s Islamabad Land Disposal Regulation (ILDR) 2005 and the CDA policy, according to which it was decided to allocate space for the construction of residential and commercial apartments, parking and public buildings in Sector C-13.

Moreover, the CDA board meeting approved the regularization of the land adjacent to plot number 29 located in Sector I-8 Markaz as per the law. In the meeting, it was decided to identify suitable places and allocate space for graveyards for people of different communities, for which appropriate changes will be made in the layout plan.

The CDA board meeting approved the upgradation of damaged water works, tankers and damaged tube wells in different sectors of Islamabad city, as well as the implementation of a plan to activate them as soon as possible, under which it was approved to set up a mechanism for regular monitoring of all water works, tankers and tube wells and to ensure timely supply of electricity.

The meeting approved the hiring of a consultant for the establishment of a Child Protection Institute in Sector H-11-4 at the request of the Pakistan Museum of Natural History under G2G. Similarly, the meeting approved the services of a consultant for the renovation and expansion of the Pakistan Museum of Natural History, the completion of the construction work of the Police Academy in Sector H-11, and the provision of the remaining facilities. The meeting also approved the uplifting of the Diplomatic Enclave and the establishment of a shopping center.

In the CDA board meeting, a four-member committee was formed under the chairmanship of the DG Law regarding the Sector F-7 commercial plot. The four-member committee will consist of senior officers from Finance, Estate, Building Control, and Law Wing, which will review all aspects including plot allotment and present its recommendations to the CDA board in the next meeting.

The CDA chairman said that the CDA is very serious about solving the problems of the citizens of Islam, for which all resources are being utilized.
