Islamabad Traffic Police launched the “Traffic Volunteer Program” campaign in various centers during the holy month of Ramadan. The campaign aims to eliminate rush at various busiest centers across the city and provide better facilities to the public.
According to details, in light of the instructions of the Chief Traffic Officer, Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has launched the “Traffic Volunteer Program” to effectively manage the increasing traffic pressure during the holy month of Ramadan, reduce rush in markets and provide convenience to the citizens.
This special initiative has been taken to improve the traffic flow in major markets of Islamabad, especially Supermarket, Jinnah Supermarket, Aabpara Market, Karachi Company, G-9 Markaz, and other busy commercial centers. This program aims to ensure uninterrupted traffic flow on the roads, provide safe and comfortable travel facilities to the citizens, and promote the implementation of traffic rules.
The aim of managing the increasing traffic pressure during Iftar and Sehri hours in Ramadan is to provide alternative routes for the convenience of citizens and solve parking problems, encourage citizens to follow traffic rules and make the roads safer with their cooperation.
Islamabad Traffic Police has introduced a Traffic Volunteer Program to ensure public participation, under which citizens can help the police as traffic volunteers. These volunteers will be deployed at various busy locations, where they will help maintain order on the highways in collaboration with the traffic police.
CTO Islamabad said on this occasion: “Islamabad Traffic Police is making special arrangements to provide better travel facilities to the citizens during Ramadan. We aim to make the roads safe and facilitate the travel of the public. We appeal to the citizens to abide by the traffic rules and cooperate with the volunteers so that we can create an orderly and comfortable environment for all.
