Microsoft Co-founder Bill Gates is often quoted as making predictions about the future. Now he has once again made a stunning prediction about the future.
Bill Gates has predicted that in the next decade, artificial intelligence (AI) technology will advance so much that humans will no longer be needed for most tasks in the world. During an interview, Bill Gates said that right now we need human experts in various fields such as medicine and education.
He said that, but in the next decade, AI technology will replace doctors and teachers. In simple words, Bill Gates said that the world is about to enter a new era where there will be no need for human experts in various fields.
He had said in an interview in February that the progress made in AI technologies will be accessible to everyone and will reach almost all aspects of our lives. He added that thanks to AI and virtual assistants as the process of diagnosing diseases is much better than past. Bill Gates further said that ‘this is happening very fast and it is also somewhat scary because it is happening at lightning speed’.
This is not the first time that Bill Gates has expressed enthusiasm about AI technology. Earlier in September 2024, Bill Gates predicted that AI technology could greatly accelerate progress in the fields of education and medicine. He said, “This is the first technology that is advancing faster than experts. He warned that AI technology could affect the jobs of people working in many fields.
He said, “AI technology can have an impact even more than computers, phones, and the Internet; this is the biggest technological advance in my lifetime. “He predicted that within a decade, various sectors such as education and health would change significantly.
Bill Gates expressed the view that AI will shorten the working week and reduce the need for traditional full-time employment. He said that in the long term, employment will not be as important, and we think this is a good thing.
