RAWALPINDI – The United Kingdom has supported the launch of a nationwide Digital Case Management System (CMS) for Pakistan’s Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), aimed at strengthening the country’s fight against narcotics trafficking through technology-driven enforcement.

The system, developed with UK assistance, replaces outdated manual processes with a centralized digital platform that allows ANF to register cases, manage evidence, and integrate laboratory results seamlessly. Piloted in February 2025, the CMS is now operational across all ANF Regional Headquarters and police stations nationwide. Officials say the system will improve data accuracy, reduce procedural delays, and enable faster enforcement actions.

The inauguration ceremony was held at ANF Headquarters in Rawalpindi, attended by British High Commissioner Jane Marriott CMG, OBE, Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, ANF Director General Major General Abdul Moeed, and representatives from the British High Commission, UPSCALE, and the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).

Speaking at the event, British High Commissioner Jane Marriott said the initiative underlined the UK’s commitment to working with Pakistan against serious and organized crime. “The system strengthens law enforcement and benefits both the UK and Pakistan,” she noted.

Federal Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi praised the project, calling it a cornerstone of Pakistan’s counter-narcotics strategy. “This digital transformation, backed by the British High Commission, equips ANF to handle high-volume narcotics cases with greater efficiency. We deeply value this collaboration as a cornerstone of our efforts to secure our borders and communities,” he said.

Officials highlighted that the CMS also addresses systemic challenges such as fragmented data and slow reporting by enabling real-time information sharing. Future upgrades are expected to link the platform with external databases and financial tracking systems to combat narcotics-related crimes more effectively, with continued UK support.
