In a tragic incident a 32-year-old TikToker named Iqra, known as “Thal’s Princess,” was shot and killed by an unknown person at her home in Noorpur Thal. The police have taken her body to THQ Hospital for further proceedings and have launched an investigation into the incident. Authorities have assured that the accused will be arrested soon.
Unfortunately, such incidents are not isolated in Pakistan. There have been cases of custodial killings, like the one in Tandlianwala where a station house officer and five policemen were charged with torturing a suspect to death. Similarly, in Gujjar Khan, Rawalpindi, a minor girl’s murder mystery was solved when police arrested a young suspect who raped and killed the girl, dumping her body in a well.
In another incident, three brothers were gunned down inside a police lockup in Tandlianwala by their opponents, highlighting the risks associated with factional violence. The incident has sparked outrage, and police have pledged to investigate all aspects of the case.
