Lahore: Recently arrested Suhail Hasan Bhatti, who was accused of human trafficking, died in FIA custody, the accused was arrested from the G-10 area of Islamabad.
According to the sources, FIA spokesman said that the accused was being taken from Islamabad to Lahore when his health deteriorated, the accused was shifted to DHQ Hospital Sheikhupura but he could not recover.
According to the spokesperson, the accused was wanted by both the institutions FIA Islamabad Zone and Punjab Police. The member’s incudes in the investigation committee are Director FIA Lahore Zone Sarfaraz Khan, Ayesha Agha, Salman Liaquat, Zeeshan Afzal and Gul Shahnaz.
There is no doubt that the accused should have been punished severely under the law, but the killing of the accused during the investigation is a matter of concern.
