Join this protest to protect freedom of expression: Executive Council PUJ
Under the auspices of the Punjab Union of Journalists, a protest demonstration will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 3 pm in front of the Lahore Press Club, in which all patriotic Pakistanis who love the Constitution and reject this oppressive and tyrannical law that distorts fundamental human rights, will participate enthusiastically. On this occasion, an announcement will be made to fight the case of freedom of expression and a pledge will also be taken that we will not spare any sacrifice for human rights, freedom of expression and freedom of the press.
In this protest, the opposition leader of the Punjab Assembly, Malik Ahmed Khan Bhatti, Secretary General of the PFUJ Rana Azeem, along with prominent political and social leaders, representatives of lawyers’ organizations, Electronic Media Reporters Association, Court Reporters Association, Health and Education Reporters Association, and leaders and workers of various organizations will participate.
The Executive Council of the PUJ invites everyone to participate in this protest against the oppressive PECA Act and for the protection of freedom of expression.
