Islamabad, Pakistan – A chilling tale of deception and exploitation has emerged, revealing how numerous Pakistani women were lured to Serbia under false promises of lucrative employment, only to be subjected to harsh working conditions, unpaid labor, and potential financial extortion. The case has now reached the Pakistani Senate, prompting serious questions about the role of a recruitment company, High Reach, led by Salia Rajput, and the actions of the Pakistani ambassador in Serbia.

The Enticement: The women were allegedly promised salaries of 600 Euros by High Reach and transported to Serbia with the expectation of a better life. However, upon their arrival, their hopes were quickly shattered as they were handed over to an individual identified as George.

Senate Intervention and Key Questions: The Senate has taken cognizance of this disturbing situation, with inquiries focusing on the legitimacy and operational status of High Reach. Crucially, the Senate is also examining the involvement of the Pakistani ambassador in Serbia and seeking clarity on the number of similar cases that have been officially registered.

Ambassador’s Role Under Scrutiny: While the ambassador reportedly provided note verbals related to the women’s travel, his role is now under intense scrutiny. Unconfirmed sources suggest that he may have played a part in facilitating the women’s journey through Iran to obtain Serbian visas, a detail that raises significant concerns about due diligence and potential complicity.

Brutal Reality in Serbia: The experiences of the women in Serbia paint a grim picture of exploitation. Reports indicate they endured two months of unpaid labor, were forced to live in substandard conditions, and were made to perform demanding agricultural work – a far cry from the promises made by Salia Rajput regarding comfortable living arrangements and adequate food.

Deceptive Promises Unveiled: The stark contrast between the promised and actual conditions highlights the deceptive nature of the recruitment process. The women were led to believe they would have a stable and dignified life in Serbia, only to find themselves trapped in a cycle of exploitation.

Financial Extortion Allegations: Adding to their plight, allegations have surfaced that “George” is demanding 1000 Euros from each woman for a Temporary Residence Certificate (TRC). Furthermore, Salia Rajput is reportedly asking for an exorbitant sum of 200,000 Pakistani Rupees from the already distressed women.

Visa Irregularities and Lack of Protection: Shockingly, the visas obtained by these women allegedly lacked proper immigration protection, a serious violation that carries a significant minimum penalty under relevant laws. This lack of oversight further underscores the vulnerability of the women and the potential negligence involved in their recruitment and deployment.

Harrowing Accounts from Returning Victims: Some of the women who managed to return to Pakistan have shared their harrowing experiences, detailing the deception they faced and the harsh treatment they endured in Serbia. Their testimonies serve as a stark reminder of the human cost of such fraudulent schemes.

Continued Deception and False Hope: Even after their traumatic experiences, some individuals are reportedly attempting to further deceive the victims with false promises, such as invitations to fabricated events and offers of VIP treatment. This indicates a continued effort to manipulate and potentially silence the affected women.

A Call for Justice and Accountability: This case has ignited a demand for swift and decisive action from Pakistani authorities. The presenter of the video strongly emphasizes the urgent need for accountability for those involved in this exploitation and for justice to be served to the victimized women. The role of the media in bringing this issue to light and raising public awareness is also highlighted as crucial.

This unfolding scandal serves as a stark reminder of the vulnerabilities faced by individuals seeking overseas employment and the critical need for stringent regulations and oversight in international recruitment processes to prevent such exploitation from occurring. The Pakistani authorities are now under pressure to thoroughly investigate this case, hold the perpetrators accountable, and ensure the safety and well-being of their citizens seeking opportunities abroad.
