Islamabad – Director General of Friends of Palestine Pakistan, Dr Bilal Al-Astal, welcomed Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Health, Syed Mustafa Kamal.
On the occasion, the minister expressed keen interest in learning about the true situation of ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza, its latest dimensions, and in exploring what practical steps could be taken in support of Gaza and Palestine in general from his official position. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s principled and consistent stance, stressing that the country would always stand shoulder to shoulder with the Palestinian people.
During the meeting, the health minister reiterated his commitment to extend every possible political and diplomatic effort in support of the Palestinian people’s just struggle and in solidarity with them. He said that Palestine has always remained the central issue of the Muslim Ummah and that Pakistan would continue to stand firm alongside the Palestinians against Israeli occupation and aggression in Gaza.
He further assured that Pakistan would extend full cooperation to the Palestinian people in the health sector, including support for the development and strengthening of Palestine’s healthcare system.
Dr Bilal Al-Astal briefed the minister on the latest situation in Gaza, highlighting how the Israeli forces are targeting civilians, infrastructure, and particularly the healthcare system. He stressed that such aggression could never break the resolve and courage of the Palestinian people.
The director general appreciated the visit, terming it a reflection of the depth of fraternal ties between Pakistan and Palestine and a reaffirmation of Pakistan’s principled and unwavering position on the Palestinian cause.
