Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, met with Colonel General Hasanov Zakir Asgar Oglu, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defence, in Lachin, Azerbaijan. They discussed matters of mutual interest, regional security dynamics, and ways to further enhance defence cooperation between the two countries.
The COAS appreciated the strong bilateral relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, emphasizing Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening defence ties. Both leaders stressed the importance of mutual visits in advancing strategic and operational cooperation.
The meeting highlights the growing relationship between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, with Azerbaijan recently expressing support for Pakistan amid rising tensions with India. The two nations are dedicated to enhancing their defence partnership and promoting regional stability.
