The Nobel Institute has rejected reports of Imran Khan’s nomination for the Nobel Prize, labeling it a political move. According to Kristian Berg-Harpviken, Director of the Nobel Institute, the Norwegian Centre Party’s claim of nominating Imran Khan was an attempt to influence Pakistani voters in Norway.

Berg-Harpviken expressed concerns that this move damaged the prestige of the Nobel Prize, marking the first time a leader has used the nomination process in such a manner. The Institute emphasized that the nomination process is confidential and decided independently by the Nobel Committee.

It’s worth noting that the Norwegian Centre Party doesn’t have the authority to submit nominations, and there’s been no official statement from the Nobel Committee confirming or denying the rejection of Imran Khan’s nomination.
