Despite repeated promises by political leaders and influential figures, the residents of Kundar Kothiyan remain deprived of basic infrastructure, including a proper road. Frustrated by official inaction, local philanthropists and community members took matters into their own hands, constructing an unpaved road through a self-help initiative.

This area, home to close relatives of a major multinational business owner and known political figures—including Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, Zia-ul-Qamar, Mushtaq Minhas, and Mahmood-ul-Haq—continues to suffer from a lack of essential services.

According to residents, political leaders have made multiple commitments to improving local infrastructure, yet no tangible progress has been made. Despite numerous appeals, Mahmood-ul-Haq and other officials failed to address the pressing need for a proper road.

The absence of a paved road has long posed significant challenges, particularly during the rainy season, when deep potholes and accumulated mud make transportation nearly impossible. Repeated pleas to government authorities went unanswered, leaving the community with no choice but to take independent action. Through collective donations, including significant contributions from expatriates, local residents successfully built an unpaved road, easing mobility in the area.

Community leaders emphasized that continued neglect of public issues by politicians could lead to further grassroots efforts, as citizens take charge of resolving their own challenges. They urged the government and relevant authorities to prioritize the provision of basic amenities in Kundar Kothiyan and other underdeveloped regions to prevent similar situations in the future.

Residents expressed their gratitude to all those who contributed to the initiative, acknowledging their generosity and commitment to community welfare.
