Members of the National Assembly have started receiving salaries with a 100 percent increase. Instead of Rs. 218,000, members of the Assembly are now receiving Rs. 519,000 after tax deductions. Benefits and allowances are separate. Senate members are still waiting for the implementation of the additional salaries.

According to the details, the National Assembly Secretariat has started implementing the approval of the increase in the salaries of members of parliament. Members have started receiving a monthly salary of Rs. 519,000 instead of Rs. 218,000 as an Eid allowance.

According to the report, the member of the assembly receives Rs 6,800 per day in the form of daily allowance, convenience allowance, and housing allowance. In the form of travel allowance, 30 business class air tickets per year and travel vouchers worth Rs 300,000 are also provided.

The members of parliament are satisfied with the salary increase, but they say that they are also suffering from inflation. Members of the National Assembly and Senate are complaining about the lack of salary increase.

The members of the assembly are also calling the recent salary increase insufficient, saying that the salary should be at par with the salary and benefits of the 1974 Act and the judges of the higher judiciary and the bureaucracy.
