Motorway Police Inspector Mansoor Asghar laid to rest with full honors after tragic martyrdom in line of duty

Motorway Police Inspector Mansoor Asghar was tragically martyred in a road accident while on duty near Aminpur on the M4 Motorway. The incident occurred when a Mazda truck, driven by a drowsy driver, collided with the police patrol vehicle. Inspector Asghar was actively engaged in educating drivers about the dangers of driving while sleepy when the accident happened, resulting in fatal injuries.

The driver of the Mazda truck, registered as JW-1778, has been taken into custody. Inspector Asghar, a dedicated officer from Faisalabad, joined the Motorway Police in 2007 and was known for his integrity and professional competence.

A dignified funeral ceremony was held in Faisalabad, where Inspector Asghar was given a guard of honor by the Motorway Police. Senior officials, including IG Motorway Police BA Nasir, Additional IG Saad Akhtar Bharwana, and DIG Dar Ali Khattak, attended the ceremony to pay their respects to the martyred officer.

IG Motorway Police BA Nasir expressed profound grief over the loss, assuring that the Motorway Police would provide full support to Inspector Asghar’s family. He also laid a wreath at the grave as a mark of respect. Inspector Asghar leaves behind his parents, wife, three daughters, and a young son.

The Motorway Police has urged road users to prioritize safety and take necessary precautions to avoid accidents caused by driver fatigue, highlighting the importance of responsible driving practices
