On the instructions of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, for the first time in history, the decision to introduce B Form with special security features for children above ten years of age.
Under the security features, fingerprints and photograph of children above ten years of age have been made a mandatory part of B-Form.
Special B Form (Registration Certificate) will be issued in a phased manner from January 15

In the first phase, fingerprints and photographs of children above 10 years and below 18 years will be taken from January 15 at the NADRA Centre. Interior Ministry spokesperson
These children must be accompanied by one of the parents or a legal guardian and they must also bring their computerized national identity card and the child’s computerized birth certificate issued by the Union Council or Town Committee. Interior Ministry spokesperson
After necessary processing in NADRA, B form with child’s photo will be issued. Interior Ministry spokesperson
Children above 10 years of age and below 18 years of age have to submit fingerprints and photograph B-form issued by NADRA while applying for a new passport. Interior Ministry spokesperson
Old B form which does not include photograph and fingerprints will not be acceptable for children of the above age. Interior Ministry spokesperson
Parents or legal guardians should get a new B form with photograph and fingerprints of child above 10 years from NADRA. Interior Ministry spokesperson
As part of the passport application process, the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports will cross-check the child’s photograph and fingerprints against the NADRA database to ensure accuracy and authenticity. Interior Ministry spokesperson
