Female students of Khuzdar Elementary College for Girls are facing severe difficulties due to the absence of transport facilities, raising serious concerns among parents and local residents over the negligence of the college administration.
According to sources, a bus is available for the college but has not been put to use owing to administrative lapses and flawed policies. As a result, students are compelled to rely on costly and unsafe private transport options. This situation has not only made their daily commute unsafe and stressful but has also placed an additional financial burden on families.
Parents argue that while the government frequently claims to promote women’s education, the lack of basic facilities such as transport undermines those commitments. They warned that if the issue is not resolved urgently, it could disrupt students’ education and force families to reconsider sending their daughters to college.
Parents and civil society members have called upon the Commissioner of Kalat Division and the Deputy Commissioner of Khuzdar to take immediate notice of the matter and ensure that the bus allocated for students is restored without delay. They stressed that providing safe and accessible transport is a fundamental responsibility of the authorities to guarantee girls’ right to education in a secure and enabling environment.
