The Inspector General of Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has been urged to reopen the investigation into the murder of Constable Iqra. The appeal highlights the alleged involvement of former Superintendent of Police (SP) Syed Arif Hussain Shah in Iqra’s death. According to the appeal, SP Arif Shah not only killed Iqra but also used his official position to conceal the facts of the case.

It is further alleged that SP Arif Shah managed to manipulate the investigation, bringing it to a close through deceitful means. Notably, several belongings of the deceased were reportedly found in Arif Shah’s house, and there are claims that Iqra was living with him in the period leading up to her death. These serious allegations raise questions about the integrity of the initial investigation and whether justice was served.

By reopening the case, the police can thoroughly examine the evidence and determine the truth behind Iqra’s tragic death. This step could help ensure that those responsible are held accountable and bring closure to Iqra’s family and loved ones. The appeal emphasizes the need for a fair and transparent investigation to uncover the facts and deliver justice.
