During the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, the Islamabad Traffic Police launched a comprehensive crackdown on one-wheelers and bikers without silencers. Under the supervision of Chief Traffic Officer Syed Zeeshan Haider, the traffic police took stern action against reckless bikers, ensuring a safe and secure environment for citizens.
According to reports, over 1,700 bikers were penalized for violating traffic rules, while more than 500 motorcycles were impounded in various police stations. Additionally, 24 one-wheelers and 9 heavy bikers were also taken into custody.
The crackdown was part of a broader effort to maintain law and order on the roads, particularly during peak holiday seasons. With over 2.5 million vehicles entering Islamabad during Eid, the traffic police worked tirelessly to provide smooth travel facilities to tourists.
Chief Traffic Officer Syed Zeeshan Haider emphasized that there would be no leniency towards one-wheelers and bikers without silencers. He urged youth to refrain from such illegal activities, which pose a threat to the lives and property of citizens.
To ensure public safety, the traffic police also restricted entry to public parks on Eid, allowing only families to enter. Over 500 officers of the Islamabad Traffic Police were deployed to facilitate citizens and maintain order.
Thanks to the effective arrangements made by the traffic police, no untoward incidents were reported in the federal capital during the Eid holidays. The Islamabad Traffic Police remains committed to serving and ensuring the convenience of citizens.
