The Islamabad Traffic Police have intensified their efforts to enforce traffic laws and regulations in the federal capital. In the past 15 days, they have taken legal action against 15,088 vehicles, motorcyclists, freight, and public transport vehicles for violating traffic laws. This crackdown aims to protect citizens from accidents and ensure a smooth flow of traffic.

Under the special instructions of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Traffic Police have launched a special campaign to target traffic violators. During the last week, they took legal action against various categories of violators, including 1,045 vehicles with non-standard number plates, 1,027 motorcyclists riding without helmets, 2,985 vehicles parked in unauthorized areas, 674 vehicles driving in the opposite direction, 1,276 vehicles jumping red lights, 369 drivers not wearing seat belts, and 158 drivers using mobile phones while driving.

In addition to these violations, 1,214 vehicles and motorcycles were stopped at different police stations for serious offenses. The traffic police are taking a strict stance against violators to ensure road safety and compliance with traffic laws. Chief Traffic Officer Islamabad Captain R. Syed Zeeshan Haider has appealed to citizens to cooperate with the Islamabad Traffic Police by adhering to traffic rules and regulations. He emphasized that the traffic police are working to ensure an integrated traffic system in the city and prevent accidents.
