Islamabad Police have issued a comprehensive traffic advisory aimed at improving road safety, ensuring smooth traffic flow, and maintaining public order in the federal capital. According to the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO), the entry of heavy traffic into Islamabad will only be permitted between midnight and 5 a.m., while access during the day will remain strictly prohibited.
The CTO further stated that vehicles using tinted windows will face strict legal action, and motorcyclists carrying more than two riders will also be penalized. Meetings with bus terminal owners and managers will be held immediately to enforce compliance. Public transport vehicles will not be allowed to pick up or drop off passengers outside designated terminals, and bus owners must issue tickets to all passengers before boarding.
Similarly, truck owners and freight managers will also be summoned for enforcement meetings. Loaded vehicles will only be permitted to unload at designated sites. The CTO emphasized that full adherence to traffic laws is essential to protect citizens, ensure smooth traffic flow, and maintain peace and order in the city.
