Islamabad – The FIA has registered a case against the president of the society and Former Ambassador, father and son, and six others for allegedly defrauding the society of millions of rupees. After the case was registered, raids were conducted to arrest the president of the society.
According to sources, the FIA had started an investigation against the president of the Foreign Office Employees Cooperative Housing Society, Dr. Israr, who is also a former bureaucrat and has also been an ambassador to a country, for forming a company with his son, Asad Abbas, to acquire 500 kanals of land in the society. The 500 kanals of land was to be provided by this company, but the father paid crores of rupees to his son, but he did not have the land.
On the other hand, the society president, Dr. Israr, also bought a commercial plot in the same society without an auction. After the investigation came to light, Dr. Israr and his son Asad Abbas went missing.
Sources say that both have got bail from the court, and after cancellation of their bail, the FIA is conducting raids to arrest the father and son.
