Balochistan – A grand jirga was held on 19 November 2025 at the FC Headquarters in Loralai, attended by Governor Balochistan Jafar Khan Mandokhail as the chief guest, Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, the Quetta Corps Commander, former Governor Gul Muhammad Jogezai, IG FC Balochistan North, IG Police, Commissioner Loralai Division, and a large number of tribal elders.

Participants held detailed discussions on regional security, harmony, tribal cohesion, and ongoing development initiatives. Local tribal leaders praised the Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps Balochistan North for their practical efforts in establishing and sustaining peace in the region.

Governor Mandokhail, while addressing the elders, said that tribal communities have always been strong partners of the state. He stressed that a joint strategy is crucial for maintaining peace, ensuring the success of development projects, and securing a brighter future for the youth.

Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti affirmed that the Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps will continue utilizing all resources to strengthen lasting peace, social stability, and essential services in the region. He also highlighted the key role of tribal elders in maintaining regional security.

The Quetta Corps Commander reiterated that Balochistan’s path to progress and prosperity is rooted in peace and unity. He urged the public to defeat terrorist agendas and stand together against all anti-state elements.

At the conclusion of the jirga, tribal elders welcomed the security measures taken by the Government of Balochistan, Pakistan Army, and Frontier Corps—particularly regarding the Duki coal mines and N-70 highway. They renewed their commitment to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with state institutions in the pursuit of regional peace, social harmony, and sustainable development.
