Notification issued for pension reduction for government employees

A notification has been issued to reduce the pension of employees retiring after January 1, 2025.
A copy of the notification has been sent to all provincial governments by the federation, the formula for calculating pension on retirement has also been changed, the basic pension under the new formula will be reduced by about 30 percent.

Due to which the current in-service employees will face continuous financial losses after retirement.
The annual increase in basic pension will be made on the ‘baseline pension’ instead of the current pension, the current pension of current pensioners as of January 1, 2025 has been declared as the ‘baseline pension’ forever.
