Islamabad : Five young men from Abbottabad, who had traveled to Islamabad for sightseeing and entertainment, fell victim to a four-member “honey trap” gang in Bahria Town, Phase 8.
The victims, including FSC student Saud Dawood Khan and his friends Dawood, Hasher, Abu Bakr, and Asad Shah, were allegedly targeted late at night near the Juice Land turn in Phase 8. According to Saud Dawood Khan, two women approached them and requested a drop-off to Phase 7. While escorting the women, two unknown men appeared from a nearby flat, forcibly took the car keys, and locked the victims inside the flat.
The accused, pretending to be government officials, accused the victims of attempting to engage in immoral activities. Under threat at gunpoint, they conducted a fake search, confiscated Rs 11,000 in cash and the keys to a Honda car worth approximately Rs 5.2 million (52 lakh PKR), and fled the scene with the vehicle.
During the ordeal, the suspects reportedly called each other by the names “Sawalin” and “Baya,” which are believed to be aliases.
A formal complaint has been registered at Rawat Police Station under case number 736/25, citing Section 392 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) related to armed robbery. Sub-Inspector Usama Saif of the Bahria Town Police Post is leading the investigation.
