Federal educational institutions have officially announced the schedule for the upcoming summer vacation. According to the notification, all federal schools and colleges will remain closed for summer break from June 5 to August 1, 2025. The decision has been taken in view of the rising temperatures across the country, which can pose health risks to students and staff.

To accommodate for the extreme weather conditions leading up to the holidays, the school timings have also been revised. Starting from May 26, 2025, morning school hours will be adjusted to 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM. This change aims to minimize student exposure to heat during peak hours while ensuring that academic activities continue smoothly until the break begins.

The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has issued this schedule to all government-run educational institutions in Islamabad Capital Territory and other federally administered areas. Parents are advised to stay informed about the revised timings and ensure their children follow necessary precautions during this period.

The summer vacation will also provide students with a much-needed break to relax and recharge before the start of the new academic session in August. Educational institutions are expected to resume regular classes from August 2, 2025.
