In a major anti-corruption operation, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Corruption Circle Islamabad arrested five Capital Development Authority (CDA) officials over their alleged involvement in a massive fake plot allotment scandal.
The arrested officers Asghar Ali, Raja Shoaib Malal, Taimur Ahmed, Inayatullah, and Aftab Ahmed  held key positions as Assistant Directors and Deputy Directors within the CDA. Their arrests followed the cancellation of their pre-arrest bail by the Special Judge Central II, Islamabad.
According to initial investigations, the suspects illegally allotted 43 residential plots in Islamabad’s Sectors I-14, E-11, and D-13 by falsely claiming the applicants were victims of land acquisition. The scam is estimated to have caused a loss of around one billion rupees to the national treasury.
Authorities allege the officers misused their powers by processing fake files to issue the allotments. Investigations are ongoing, with raids continuing to locate and arrest other accomplices involved in the corruption scheme.
