This new option to earn money has been introduced globally for creators who are part of the Facebook Content Monetization Program. With this new option, users will also be able to earn money from the content they have already created.
For example, if they create a cooking recipe video or reel and post part of it in the form of a story, they will also have the opportunity to earn money from Story Views.
In this way, they will be able to earn money by posting content related to their daily lives in the story. A Meta spokesperson said that users will get the opportunity to earn through Stories based on the performance of the content and they will not need to achieve a specific threshold of views for this.
The new Facebook program aims to encourage users to create more content for the social media platform. Those who are part of the Facebook Content Monetization Program do not need to do anything to earn money from Stories; they are automatically part of it. It should be noted that Facebook introduced the Content Monetization Program last year and invited millions of users to become part of it.
According to Facebook, there are plans to add more people to the program sometime this year. Users who are not currently part of the program can express their interest through an invite on the program website.
