ISLAMABAD: President of All Pakistan Anjuman Tajran Ajmal Baloch has said that more than three years have passed since the establishment of the Islamabad Food Authority. But still the rules of the authority have not been made and the rules have not been approved by the Federal Cabinet.
The Board of Authority has not been completed while the legal procedure for determining the amount of license fee and penalty has not been adopted. There has been no public hearing in this regard. Distribution of penalty amounts among employees is also illegal. An authority was created to ensure the supply of pure food to the citizens of Islamabad, but so far this has not been possible as the quality of food cannot be determined by finger-tasting.
At present, food and beverage businesses are forced to obtain seven types of licenses. According to the decision of the High Court, only One license is enough at a time. Till now the gazette notification of license fee, fine and punishment has not been issued. Businessmen of Islamabad are in favor of supplying quality food to the people.
But for this, legal procedure needs to be adopted. He has appealed to Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi and Chief Commissioner ICT Islamabad Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Randhawa to issue orders to rectify the affairs of Islamabad Food Authority and determine the amount of license fee and fine to the stakeholders. To be taken in confidence.
