Director of Anti-Corruption Establishment Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has rejected allegations regarding his posting, calling the media campaign against him a deliberate move to protect corrupt officials under investigation. In a detailed response to the Chief Secretary, he stated that his appointment was made in full compliance with the law and backed by the Peshawar High Court’s judgment.

He emphasized that he has served in Anti-Corruption for over seven years, handled hundreds of cases, ensured recoveries, and restored illegally occupied government lands. The letter further revealed that ongoing inquiries against powerful departments, including Transport, Labour, and Home, had unearthed massive financial losses.

“The sudden circulation of letters in the media is clearly designed to sabotage these investigations,” the Director noted. Concluding his statement, he said: “If any illegality is found in my posting, I will step down voluntarily. But performance must be compared fairly with previous officers.” He also urged the creation of an independent Anti-Corruption Force to ensure the institution can function without external interference.
