The final results of the National Press Club elections have been announced. The journalist panel won all three major seats. After the votes for the posts of President, Secretary, and Finance Secretary were counted, the Election Committee officially released the results.
According to the results, Azhar Jatoi was elected President of the National Press Club with 1090 votes, while Nayyar Ali won the post of Secretary with 1063 votes. Waqar Abbasi won the post of Finance Secretary with 1065 votes. The process of counting votes during the election was kept very transparent, fully recorded, and a large screen was also installed for monitoring.
To ensure the transparency of the elections, the opposition also carefully observed the counting process and finally openly accepted the results and congratulated the successful candidates.
Election Statistics
A total of 2033 votes were cast, out of which 2003 votes were accepted while 30 votes were rejected. The elections recorded a 70 percent turnout, which is a reflection of the keen interest of the journalistic community.

Harmeet Singh: 695 votes
Waqar Abbasi: 1065 votes (successful)

The counting of votes for additional seats will be completed today, and the counting of votes for vice presidents, joint secretaries, and governing body seats will be completed today, after which the final results will be announced.
