Lahore: A citizen of Lahore faced mental torture when he wanted to verify the record from the concerned school for his late mother’s pension. But he was shocked when the concerned officer demanded fancy suits before signature.
According to details, Rehan Bashir, a resident of Iqbal Town Lahore, reached Government Girls High School Samsani Khoi Johar Town, for the verification of his mother’s pension documents but the school staff took the papers and him to the headmistress’s office. And put a condition on bringing fancy suits first.
The citizen pleaded but when the work was not done, the citizen took 3 suits and got the signature on documents. Later along with the receipt of purchased suits he applied to the Education Department and complained about abuse of authority by a lady officer and bribery. The education department suppressed the matter by detaining the citizen for 2 months, after which the citizen knocked on the door of anti-corruption.
Anti-corruption called the head and staff of the school but they did not appear. Anti-corruption has now summoned the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Education Department and directed him to present the accused.
