Pakistanis are ringing in the new year with a hike in toll taxes on several motorways. Starting January 5, 2025, drivers can expect to pay more to use these roads.¹

Here are the revised toll taxes for cars:

– M1 Motorway (Islamabad to Peshawar): Increased from Rs 460 to Rs 500
– M3 Motorway (Lahore to Abdul Hakeem): Up from Rs 650 to Rs 700
– M4 Motorway (Pindi Bhattian to Faisalabad and Multan): Raised from Rs 850 to Rs 950
– M5 Motorway (Multan to Sukkur): Decreased from Rs 1,500 to Rs 1,100 (a rare reduction!)
– DI Khan to Hakla Motorway M14: Increased to Rs 600

These changes are likely to impact commuters and travelers across the country.
