Islamabad- A tragic incident occurred near Khayaban Bridge, CNG stop, in Islamabad’s Sabzi Mandi police area. Initially, it was believed that the officer was shot, but confirmation now shows he was attacked with a knife.
ASI Akbar Ali was walking to duty when he was suddenly assaulted. He sustained three deep stab wounds, to the right ribs, arm, and legs. Due to his age and excessive bleeding, he could not survive and passed away shortly after reaching the hospital.
Further investigation by CIA Islamabad has uncovered the shocking motive and identity of the attackers.
The officer was not killed by unknown criminals, he was murdered by his own in-laws. His Afghani brothers-in-law had developed hostility after the government ordered Afghan nationals to leave. They pressured Akbar Ali to shelter and protect them, but he refused. Unable to take their sister back to Afghanistan and unwilling to leave her behind, they resorted to the worst possible act: killing him so they could flee with money and return across the border.
CIA investigators traced the case back to the suspects, and last night both Afghan in-laws were arrested.
A tragic end to a dedicated officer, betrayed not by strangers, but by those related through family ties. May justice be served.
