ISLAMABAD: The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has summoned popular TikToker Iqra Kanwal of the channel “Sistrology” on September 2 in connection with a widening probe into digital fraud and online gambling promotion.
According to investigators, the influencer is accused of luring young audiences towards online betting applications and misleading people through the promotion of fraudulent trading apps. Officials allege that she advertised online gambling platforms on social media and enticed followers into investing through bogus websites under the guise of quick-profit schemes.
Authorities say several victims were duped into losing money through these scams, with complaints pointing to deliberate misrepresentation and digital manipulation. The NCCIA has confirmed that Iqra Kanwal has been called to record her statement as part of ongoing investigations into financial fraud, online gambling promotion, and misuse of digital platforms.
