The prosecution has completed the scrutiny of the challan (charge sheet) in the high-profile TikToker Sana Yousaf murder case and formally submitted it to the District and Sessions Court, paving the way for the trial to commence after the summer recess.
According to official sources, the prosecution team scrutinized the challan for more than a month before forwarding it to the court. The challan names 31 witnesses, including members of Sana Yousaf’s family, doctors, police officials, and other key individuals, who will testify during the proceedings.
The police investigation has held Umar Hayat responsible for the murder of Sana Yousaf. Sources confirm that the accused had also confessed to the crime before a magistrate, further strengthening the prosecution’s case.
Court officials stated that the formal trial will begin once the summer vacation of the judiciary concludes. The case is being closely watched nationwide, given Sana Yousaf’s popularity as a TikTok content creator and the shocking nature of the crime.
