According to the British news agency ‘Reuters’, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has accused Western leaders of providing ‘unconditional support’ to Israel. Addressing a meeting of OIC foreign ministers in Istanbul, Erdogan said that Turkey would not allow borders in the Middle East to be redrawn ‘with blood’.
He told the 57-member OIC that it was extremely important for us to show more solidarity to end Israel’s bullying, not only in Palestine but also in Syria, Lebanon and Iran.
He said that the Israeli attacks on Iran were carried out before new nuclear talks with the United States, which were aimed at sabotaging these talks, and showed that Israel did not want to resolve the issues through diplomatic means.
Addressing a meeting of foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Istanbul, Erdogan appealed to countries that have influence over Israel not to listen to Israel’s “poisonous propaganda” and to seek a negotiated solution to prevent a wider war.
He urged Muslim countries to step up their efforts to impose effective sanctions against Israel based on international law and UN resolutions.
