In a high-profile press conference, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, accused India of orchestrating a state-sponsored terrorism campaign within Pakistan. Presenting concrete evidence, he revealed alarming details about Indian military officers directly involved in terrorist activities targeting innocent civilians and military personnel in Pakistan.
India’s Baseless Allegations and Pakistan’s Response
The press conference was held to counter recent Indian claims following the Pahalgam incident. Lieutenant General Chaudhry criticized India for failing to provide any proof to support its accusations against Pakistan. “Seven days have passed, and India has not furnished a single shred of evidence. All we have seen are baseless verbal accusations,” he stated.
In contrast, Pakistan presented tangible evidence showing how Indian state machinery, including serving military officers, is sponsoring and executing terror plots within Pakistani territory.
Arrest of Indian-Trained Terrorist Abdul Majeed
On April 25, Pakistani security forces arrested an Indian-trained terrorist named Abdul Majeed from the Jhelum bus stand. Upon his arrest, authorities recovered:
- A 2.5 kg IED (Improvised Explosive Device)
- Two mobile phones
- 70,000 in cash
Further investigation led to a raid on his house, where a drone manufactured in India and Rs. 1 million in cash were also seized.
The terrorist confessed that he was working under an Indian handler codenamed “Sikander”, who was later identified as Subedar Sukhwinder, a serving Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) in the Indian Army.
Indian Army Officers Directly Involved
Lieutenant General Chaudhry played audio recordings and shared WhatsApp conversations between Abdul Majeed and Indian officers, exposing direct involvement. Instructions included:
- Delivering IEDs
- Coordinating attack locations
- Advising escape routes
- Exchanging real-time location data
The DG ISPR further revealed that the terrorist cell was being managed by four Indian Army personnel:
- Major Sandeep Verma (alias Sameer) – illegally stationed in occupied Kashmir
- Subedar Sukhwinder – the main handler
- Havaldar Amit
- One unnamed Indian soldier
Confessions and Financial Trail
One of the most startling revelations came from a serving Indian officer, who confessed:
“We carry out terrorism from Balochistan to Lahore.”
He also described the financial channels used to fund terrorist activities, which included distributing small amounts across multiple accounts to avoid detection.
The officer stated that he had been carrying out terrorist operations in Pakistan for years and would continue to do so, highlighting the systematic and long-term nature of India’s involvement.
Drone Deliveries and Terror Training
Evidence also included videos showing training instructions being given to terrorists inside Pakistan by Indian officers. The materials, including explosives and IEDs, were delivered via drones, several of which were seized during investigations.
One such attack, carried out on October 13 in Pir Kanthi (Bagh District), targeted a Pakistani military vehicle and left several soldiers injured. The attacker received Rs. 180,000 after the operation.
Media Manipulation and Disinformation
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif condemned India’s state-controlled media and social media platforms for promoting propaganda. “They use terrorism as a tool to manipulate global narratives against Pakistan,” he said, adding that Indian officers explicitly requested media coverage of attacks to amplify fear and misinformation.
A Clear Case of State Terrorism
The DG ISPR concluded by asserting that this is not the work of Indian intelligence agencies alone but involves active military officers, proving that India is using its armed forces to conduct terrorism in Pakistan.
“This is not an isolated cell,” he warned. “It’s part of a wider, coordinated network aimed at destabilizing Pakistan.”
