The Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control has officially announced the promotion of ten officers from the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police. According to Notification No. F. No. 3/29/2024-Admn-IV, the promotions were made following the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee during its meeting held on April 4, 2025, and were approved by the Secretary, Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control.
The following officers have been promoted from the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (BS-17) to Superintendent of Police (BS-18), with immediate effect:
- Muhammad Sharif Kolachi
- Munawar Ali Mahar
- Hakim Khan
- Muhammad Mehfooz Kiani
- Imtiaz Ali Shah
- Abid Ikram
- Majid Iqbal
- Muhammad Najeeb Shah
- Sajjad Haider Shah
- Hassan Raza
In accordance with Section 6(2) of the Civil Servants Act, 1973, and Rule 21 of the Civil Servants (Appointment, Promotion and Transfer) Rules, 1973, all promoted officers will serve a probationary period of one year.
This latest development marks a significant step in strengthening the leadership of the ICT Police, recognizing the dedication and service of these officers. The notification was issued by Mr. Hizbullah Khan, Section Officer (Admin-IV), and has been forwarded to all relevant authorities for implementation.
