According to Nanama’s wife, Lakshmi, the hospital had declared his condition critical, claiming that he was in a coma and that they had also paid in advance. When she returned to the hospital after arranging one lakh rupees, she saw that the doctors were keeping her husband in the ICU.
Lakshmi says that when I returned, I saw that the doctors were pressing my husband’s neck and his hands were tied.
The woman said that she thought they were pouring water on him because he was unconscious, but the husband said that he had regained consciousness long ago and was asking to meet me, but the hospital staff refused, saying that they were being rude.
Nanama was shifted to the hospital after being injured in a violent altercation between two groups on Sunday night. She was referred to Indore for treatment, but her family took her to JD Hospital.
